Rules and Regulations of the School

Enrolment in Jalpaiguri Public School implies, on the part of the pupils and parents, willingness to comply with the rules and regulations of the school.

  • All pupils have to come school neatly dressed in the school uniform. Jewellery and fancy ornaments are not permitted. Pupils are themselves responsible for the safe custody of their books and other belongings. Each article should be marked with the Pupil's name, class and section.
  • The students will not be allowed to enter into the school after the assembly/prayer.
  • ONLY English is the spoken language in the School.
  • A Parents SHOULD record reason for their child's lack of punctuality or absences in the Regularity Record section of the School Diary and attach the signature.
  • After an illness a pupil must produce a Doctor's Certificate or Parents Declaration stating that she/he is fit to join the school.
  • Excuse for absence and late attendance should not be made by phone but in writing in the diary.
  • The decision of the School authority with regard to promotion is FINAL.
  • Promotion depends on the child's performance throughout the year, not merely on the marks scored up in the Final / Third Term Examination. Failure in any term examination and class assessment/test can seriously affect the students promotion.
  • If a child is absent for an examination without any prior notice and valid reason satisfying the school authority, he/she will not be allowed to appear at a later day. Her/His general performance / class test in the subject will be taken into account.
  • The School is not responsible for any day scholar, pupil before and after school hours
  • Students may not leave the school premises during the WRITTEN school hours WITHOUT A AUTHORISATION from Principal.
  • Parents/Guardians must see that their ward study regularly and does the work given from the school. Remarks or notes written from the school, in the School Diary should be counter-signed by parents. School diary must be sent back every day after and duly signed by the parents/guardians.
  • The school will encouraged every students to take part in ALL co-curricular activities i.e. games, School Sports, Independence Day Celebrations, concerts, debates etc.
  • Student is answerable to the school authorities for their conduct in and outside the school.
  • Parents are expected to co-operate with the school authority & rules and regulations. Parent's being a part of an institution are also expected to be humble, supportive, and suggestive towards school authority, staff and students.

  • Parents/Guardian's are required to kindly go through the rules, and regulation and conditions contained in this prospectus before they fill in their applications for admission of studens. All parents are required to strictly abide by all the terms and conditions stipulated by the institution from time to time.

  • Parent's co-operations is indispensable for the proper education of their children. The parents are therefore requested to keep in constant touch with the school authorities concerning the progress of their children. Parents, who want information or wish to discuss any problem relating to child/school, should contact the Principal at the given time.
  • Meeting with the teachers or in-charge during working hours will also not be entertained
  • School kit can be collected from the fee counter after clearing the fee amount. The school kit contains the following items - (1) School dairy and others.
  • All the correspondence should be made in favour of the Principal

Language

The Medium of Instruction is English. Bengali and Hindi are offered as said second and third Language respectively as per one's choice. Computer awareness started from LKG (Lower KG) class.

Office Hours

Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays no school matters are discussed.

School Timings & Vacation

The school session starts in April and ends in March. All the classes will start from 9 a.m, except Pre-Nursery and Nursery class will start at 11 a.m.
Vacations: There are three vacations during the year

  1. Summer Vacation
  2. Puja Vacation
  3. Winter Vacation

These holidays are not be extended or anticipated. Strict action will be taken to pupil who remains absent on the first day of the School.

School Uniform

For Boys
Yellow / Blue cheeked full/half shirt. Navy Blue full / half paints. Red sweater with V-neck and yellow stripe (for winter) . White socks & Black leather shoes.

For Girls
Yellow / Blue cheeked full/half shirt. Navy Blue plated skirts-I pleats. Red sweater with V-neck and yellow stripe (for winter) . Navy blue skin fitted wollen/nylon slacks (for winters) . White socks & Black laced leather shoes.

House Dress to be worn on GAME'S Day
White Trousers (for both) Boys & Girls. Respective House Colour T-Shirt. White canvas shoes. TIE, BADGE, BLET, BLAZER ETC. WILL BE THE INTERGRAL PART OF THE UNIFORM.
Boys and Girls should wear their outfits to the standard dress code as recommmended by the school from time to time. Any non-compliance of the dress code would amount to explusion of the student from the school.

I-card

For safety and security reasons every child must have a photo I-card pinned on the dress everyday.

Guardinas I-card

Parents should bring the I-card whenever they come to pick up the child.
